I'm a man born in the 70s, self-employed

I don’t have a set style. I like to experiment.
Different drawing call for different approaches.
Having a "set style" may spoil a concept, and prevent it to reach the fullest potential.

I currently have many projects :
:bulletred: A Python game following the Spiritual journey of a Taoist Monk
:bulletred: To put my experience in call centers into a comics series (see sites.google.com/site/callcent…
:bulletred: To improve my skills in Gimp
:bulletred: To improve my skills in Inkscape
:bulletred: To improve my skills in myPaint and Krita
:bulletred: To improve my skills in Manga Studio
:bulletred: and many, many more ...
And in this quest it made sense to join DeviantArt to meet people in order to share experiences, advices ...

The learning curve is pretty tough
But I'm sure it will be worth it.

For now this is a list of useful tips I'd like to share :
- change the shortcut for undo to just the letter Z (not cmd+Z) that is a trick I discovered in mypaint and for me it's really time saving
- when using a pen tool, pressing "4" switch the color to black and "6" to transparent so there's no need to switch to the eraser - just press 6 and erase, then 4 and back to inking
- the export function is splendid - the feature to export the entire comics as pdf is really a great time saving tool
- the kabura ink pen is currently my favourite - see blog.peileppe.com/2012/12/hive… for the settings I use
- Selection tool is great for adding tone - after a tone layer is created it acts like a layer mask, so just add some black(or use white to erase) and this will regenerate the same tone.
- Text tool is great, but a bit tricky - so just type a short text and then modify and add more text using the "text editor" in the Story menu

I would like also to thank :iconmangakaonline: for her support and kind words

Thanks for reading
Have a nice holiday everybody
